Important Update: OpenSky is Shutting Down August 31st

Dear OpenSky Community,

OpenSky has been a bold and unprecedented experiment—our attempt to bring a free version of SayIntentions.AI to the world. We’ve been running this experiment for many months, and we’ve loved seeing how many of you have used it to explore the skies.

Unfortunately, the costs of running OpenSky remain high. While we had anticipated that the cost of cloud compute, AI voices and models would drop over time, the industry has not seen the reductions we hoped for. As a result, OpenSky has been heavily subsidized, and it’s not sustainable for us to continue.

With that in mind, we will be shutting down OpenSky on August 31st. We hope you’ve enjoyed using it as much as we’ve enjoyed building it.

For those who wish to continue flying with SayIntentions.AI, our full Premium subscription service remains available with all of the features and voices our customers know and love.

Please note that we plan to maintain our commitment to providing free offerings to the flight sim community, wherever possible. To this end, we are still planning to make SkyNet (our drop-in replacement for the MSFS multiplayer system) free to the entire community in the coming months.
