As you may be aware, FlightRadar24 is discontinuing their free live data feeds for real-time traffic information. We know that has raised questions in the flight simulation community, so we want to be clear about what it means for SayIntentions.AI customers.
The short version
The change from FlightRadar24 will have no impact on SayIntentions.AI customers.
Why This Doesn't Affect Us
We do not use — and have never used — live traffic (ADS-B) data-feeds in our traffic system. Our approach is fundamentally different: we use real-world gate-to-gate schedule data, then sequence that traffic ourselves. (No ATC system that sequences traffic can use live traffic data, because there's no way to sequence YOU into the mix). We are extremely proud of the system we've built around that principle.
A Note on FSLTL
We recognize that this will have a big impact on the FSLTL traffic injector. So this is a good time to remind people that SayIntentions.AI customers should not use that injector, or any other third-party injector. That said, SayIntentions.AI customers who want to continue to use the FSLTL model library can certainly continue to do so.
Our Commitment to Quality Data
We invest heavily in maintaining high-quality, properly licensed, real-world traffic data. It costs us thousands of dollars to keep it updated. We are proud to make that investment as part of our subscription model, because that is what a premium flight simulation service looks like.
